Reasons why it really does truely suck to be a fan of H!P in the U.S. I was thinking about this on the bus on the way home from school one day, as I was afraid someone would ask to listen to my iPod.
1) H!P's fanbase in America, or anywhere else overseas, is so little. No one has heard of them, so you can't really go up to someone and say "Morning Musume's new single was pretty cool.", but you could say "That new Linkin Park CD was awesome.".
2) Not-so open-minded people will no doubt tease and alienate you for listening to Japanese music. I know, because I've experienced it too many times before.
3) You get sterotyped into the "weeaboo" group. I do think that everyone who has been into anime or Japanese music do go through a "weeaboo" stage at least once, where they call all there friends ___-chan and say everything is kawaii. I acted like that, until I noticed weeaboos are at the bottom of the social ladder, right there next to dirt.
4) Shipping cost of CD's are so high, and they're going up due to gas prices. I still don't understand how some people can buy every single release, but of course I don't have a job so maybe thats why xD
5) There are no concerts here in the states, or anywhere else but Japan for that matter (yes, Berryz Kobo was in South Korea and Morning Musume went to China and South Korea as well) Every once and a while Morning Musume does have concerts in Hawaii, but they're fanclub-only. The only way for a majority of us fans to see Hello!Project live is to buy a ticket to Japan and then buy a hotel room and then a ticket to the concert, and then at the concert you'll want to buy T-shirts, photocards, posters, glowsticks, ect. Overall its extremely costly.
There are alot of other reasons it sucks to be an H!P fan, but I'm too lazy to list all of them and I don't feel well.
All pictures are from the Hello!Online picboard.
Oh, and, Yurina's not the only one celebrating her birthday today. Today is my birthday too~ :D
Sayumi: You're blocking my cute, Riichan. Nyan nyan!
Risako: Whatever, old geezer.
(Guess what. I'm really bad at these)
I have no idea what happened here... but the photographer took a great shot.
All/most pictures are from the Hello!Online picboard. Sorry if your favorite member isn't in this post, but all the photos are posted in these random clumps.
A continuation of this, but then my internet went bezerk and I had to save it before I finished =]
So, I left off in the middle of Yaguchi Mari and Yasuda Kei's performance of Otome no Shinrigaku...
Some pictures get cut off. Just click on them to see full veiw.

H!P 2008 Winter DVD Box Set was the first H!P concert DVD I ever bought, so it's really special to me. I'll be posting screencaps from all 3 concerts plus backstage. This post is for the H!P 2008 Winter ~Kettei! Haro Pro Award '08~
Some songs I didn't screencap since they were moving way too much and it would just come out as a blur. =]
^ That's supposed to say 16sai no Koi Nante
^That's supposed to say Otome no Shinrigaku ( ^ ____ ^ ''' )
More to come later. Looks like I've posted the max. ammount of pictures.
Hello!Project's first step to world domination Asia expansion has been announced. Hello!Project New Star Audition will be 3 months long as the best girls 6-24 will be picked. And, as usual, Tsunku will be the final judge.
The auditions begin May 24 and will be broadcasted on June 7 (Saturday & Sunday) from 6:30 - 7:30p.m. and will be hosted by Chen Chien-Chou (try saying that 10 times fast).
Sooo... I guess this raises the question to whether H!P will expand to the rest of the world?
As much as I would like them to, its never going to happen in the U.S. People here just don't respect music that isn't English (except for maybe Latino). They'd be like "I don't know what they're saying but I bet its about anime." and since anime fans are on the very bottom of the social ladder, no one really wants to be down there.
But my friend actually did do a project about J-Pop and had Mini Moni playing in the background and people seemed to like it...
Yep, Morning Musume has yet another version of the Resonant Blue PV. This time it's a dance shot version with no zoom-ins or anything. (dude, I'm totally learning this dance xD)
I think this was in the Single V... not sure though...
Anyway, you're probably wondering why I titled this "They can walk on water", right? Well, if you watch Reina's feet carefully at 1:22 you'll noticed her foot splashed the water, which makes me wonder "How in the world did they do that?!". (also, somewhere around 3:20 it looks like shes trying not to step in the water again) So I've come up with the conclusion that all the members are just so cool they made the water around them freeze up so they could dance =P Just kidding. But sersiously: Shabondama, much?
OK, so, off-topic now. I'm posting this from my parent's computer since I cannot post anything on my computer. Soooo... Engrish T-shirts Part 2 might take a while... I'll try to post it this weekend.
The way you dress can say alot about you. You might not want to wear these shirts to a job interveiw, after all: first impressions are very important.
Enjoy =D
Tanaka Reina is a punky fish. Its hard to have a friend with gills.
Kusumi Koharu is a canniball. She'll befriend you, then eat you for dinner.
Satoda Mai is a little pissed off. Don't mess with her.
Tsugunaga Momoko likes to stuff her face. She'll steal all your food.
Hagiwara Mai is a democrat (her pin).
Yoshizawa Hitomi hates the world, which means she hate you.
Tanaka Reina likes to show off. Especially her boobs.
Mitsui Aika (???) supports drinking responsibly, but her grammar is really bad.
Thats all for now! I'll post more later on~
And yes, I did change the layout. I think the elephants look like Elebon xD
